Note: Is anyone going? It's actually…next weekend. o.o It's sudden, I know! The thing is that I can't go unless there's someone I know that is going too, so I'm just wondering if anyone has been before and if it's worth going to. Anyone have any info? :3

It looks like it is the following weekend, not next weekend. That gives you almost two weeks to get ready instead of one. For that first one if you need someone to go with you then I am willing, but I wouldn't be dressing up or anything since I will be moving into my house the week before so I wont have time to put anything together. If you want me to go with you just let me know by this weekend. I have never been to it before and the website doesn't seem very well put together but it might be fun.

Sabotencon looks like a lot more fun and it will be during Halloween weekend. The only bad thing is that it is all the way in Phoenix which means a long drive, and then either driving back at night or staying in a hotel. At least that should give me enough time to put something decent together.

I vote that we all plan on Sabotencon. ^^ That way, we could all be more prepared and perhaps we could all share a room and split the cost. (I'm sure we'll have more members then!) Maybe we could plan a skit or something, but either way it allows some time to plan, and to save up for it. ^^ There's no way I'm going to finish my Jill (BSAA) costume then, so planning time is needed for this.

Sorry for the slow reply, I just signed papers on my house and I move in Monday so I've been busy.

That's a good idea. We should plan on going as a group to save on cost and so we would all know someone there. We still have three months to plan so I will look into it and come up with a schedule or something before September.

That would be fantastic. ^^ Hopefully there will be more people coming in for our group by then (I think there will be more) and it sounds like a great plan so far!

Besides Animeland Tucon (which happened this past weekend) and Saboten 2 (already mentioned) there's also Con-Nichiwa that is coming up in late March 2010.
Also, there's Anime Kaigi up in Flagstaff second week of June (weekend after PCC 2010)
Naturally, PCC 2010 is in downtown Phoenix Memorial weekend.
Looking slightly beyond the borders, there's Animeland Vegas in early May of 2010.
Also, Animeland OtakuMex is in Albuquerque at end of September 2009.
SWACE was also last weekend at Albuquerque…

Of course, there's the mother of all conventions… AX on July 4th weekend, but everybody knows that, right? ^_~

Okay, guys! We really need to talk about Saboten! It would be great if we could get a group together to both stay in the room and for hanging out/driving up to begin with.

I haven't bothered planning anything since nobody came to the meeting and nobody is showing any interest. I need to know who wants to go and is guaranteed to go. If there isn't anyone then there is no point in planning anything but if we can get at least one or two people who will commit to go then we can talk about plans. Are you able to go for sure?

I am still talking with my friend about getting a room there. If we can get a room there, then it's worth going. If not, driving back and forth will make up for the cost of the room anyway and it's lost time. But I will keep updating because I'm REALLY wanting to go. And the reason why I couldn't go to any of the meet-ups is that I don't have a car of my own, and my parents need it 24/7 because they are very busy people. :/ But once I move out with my friend, it'll probably be a different song. Hopefully.
Also, if we had at least one other girl other than myself there, then it would be a very good thing! My friend that I've been talking about is a guy, and it would be rather weird for only one girl to be sharing a room with two other guys. xD

While I don't mind having company on the ride up, I am likely to be driving up Thursday night. I can be slightly flexible as long as I can still meet my commitments. As for hotel, that's less likely. I have at least three guys in the room…
